Richard Gisborne was the active partner. In 1872 the original partnership was dissolved and business carried on as Richard Gisborne & Co. Edward Trenchard joined as partner in 1878. In 1886, Trenchard being the surviving partner, the business name changed to Edward Trenchard & Co. The Company is now a subsidiary of Australian Estates Co. Ltd.
