She published a collection of poetry, 'Statistics for the new world', in c.1988 and was subsequently awarded the Arthur Macquarie Travelling Scholarship (awarded to sculptors and poets) whereby she travelled to England and studied and taught at the University of London. She returned to Australia in 1991, publishing another volume of poetry, 'Language of the icon', in 1993. 'Dancing on the edge of darkness' was published in 2000. She has also written a film script and published in literary journals.
