In 1939 Arthur Atkins bought the factory from the son of one of its original owners. The factory specialized in industrial and fashion glove manufacture, and at various periods also produced leather coats, aviation helmets, gauntlets, suitcases, and handbags. During WWII the company concentrated on production of producets for the military services, including the US Air Force, and continued to make dress gloves for the military academy at Duntroon into the 1970s. By the late 1970s the firm was producing mostly industrial gloves. In 1988 the business was sold to Mr Alistair Mitchell who relocated the business to Glen Waverley, however the business closed down soon after.
