Ltd., importers of carpets and linoleums, "Forster House", 362 Little Collins Street, was deeply interested in the training of youth and the improvement of character. He was attracted to the Character Education Enquiry in America, and founded a similar entity in 1944 in Melbourne, a committee formed in his lifetime meeting, conducting investigations, holding conferences and at his death he left money with which trustees could further the work. A review was published in 1952-1953 and a conference held in 1952. (C.E. Review No.2, March 1952). He enrolled for a single subject in Arts (Psychology?) 1926.
