Agent TypePersonActivities & OccupationsGeologistsHistoryRobert Etheridge, who had arrived in Australia for the second time in 1887, was appointed palaeontologist to the geological survey of New South Wales and of the Australian Museum in Sydney; and in 1895 the Museums curator. George Sweet was self-educated man and amateur geologist who managed the Brunswick Brick, Tile & Pottery Co. He built up an extensive fossil collection and worked for Frederick McCoy in the Mansfield district from 1888 to 1895 and with E. David on the Funafuti expedition in 1897. His daughter was the eminent zoologist, Georgina Sweet who accompanied her father on his collecting expeditions.
