Agent TypeOrganisationActivities & OccupationsLawyersHistoryThe legal practice of Graham Lederman & Co (which included Barron Merz & Co., represented by Kurt Merz) did quite a lot of work relating to Beneficial Finance (the mortgaging arm of S.A. State Bank) notable for Jewish involvement in property investment; at the end of 1979 the firm went bankrupt, left owing c.$900,000 through the activities of a client of which they claimed to be unaware; the licences of Lederman and Merz were suspended, but they made restitution of the amount owed. By May 1980, their practice was acquired by Barker Harty & Co.
