Agent TypePersonActivities & OccupationsTeachers, secondaryHistoryThompson was educated at the Melbourne Grammar School and at the University of Melbourne, where he graduated B.A. in 1864 and M.A. in 1867. He returned to his old school to teach and became headmaster of Kew High School in Charles Street in 1875. He remained there until 1908, when Trinity Grammar School leased the buildings. He then retired to live at South Wandin (Sylvan) and later lived at Hawthorn where he died in 1936.
