Early goals included equal pay for women, abortion law reform, better welfare services and nuclear disarmament amongst many others. The Victorian UAW celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2000 with the publication of 'Left Wing Ladies: a history of the Victorian UAW' by Morag Loh and Suzanne Fabian.
