The Administrators of the Staff Superannuation Scheme were responsible for administering the funds for both academic staff and general staff prior to 1982. In this year the arrangements for academic staff were taken over by the Academic Staff Retirement Fund. In addition to the management of funds under the control of the fund, the administrators were responsible for rulings on the required levels of contributions for staff at varied levels in the hierarchy. In 1986 the Disability Pensions Fund was disbanded by Resolution 16.2 Clause 25 (1) of the Council, at which time its responsibilities and assets were taken over by the Staff Superannuation Scheme.
