Agent TypeOrganisationHistoryFunded inititially by the Myer Foundation, the Commission for the Future and the Asian Studies Council, Asialink became a Centre of The University of Melbourne with the Mazda Foundation joinging the Myer Foundation and the University as core funders in 1991. It has promoted the introduction of Asian content in Australian schools and generally worked to develop Australian knowledge of the Asian region. Among University of Melbourne personnel connected with the Centre are Professor Penginton, Vice-Chancellor, and Professor John Rose, Director, Melbourne Business School (Council members); its Director is Professor Malcolm Smith.
