The Staff and Establishments Committee (later Committee on Staff) was concerned with matters of promotion; staff appointments; reclassification of positions; proposals for candidates for senior positions and salaries.

The Committee on Associate Professors and Readers as its title suggests, met to consider appointments to the positions of Associate Professor and Reader. There is no further reference after the 10th of February 1960 to this committee and it appears that considerations of position to reader were dealt with by the Readership Sub-committee.
