Agent TypeOrganisationActivities & OccupationsUniversity committeeHistoryThis Working Group was established to develop a medium for closer communication between the Faculty and the student body, and to give the Faculty greater access to student ideas. This was to be achieved through a body allowing for student and Faculty representation. Chaired by the Dean of Science, and consisting of academic and non-academic Faculty staff, it first convened on 17th April 1975. It held eleven meetings throughout 1975 in which the procedures for election, terms of reference, and composition of the Student Liaison Committee were agreed. Election procedures to be implemented in 1976 were finally agreed at the 11th meeting on 16th October 1975, after which the Working Group ceased operation.
