(Higher School Certificate) examinations, following the foreshadowing of the cessation of activities formerly undertaken by the Victorian Universities and Schools Examination Board (VUSEB). At the suggestion of Monash University, a committee consisting of representatives of all the Victorian universities was set up to formalise the application process for entrance to all Victorian universities. The committee was to further look at the certification of the eligibility of candidates for university admission.
