It was the Australian counterpart of the Institute of Social Order in Pooria, India and Sanflours, U.S. and the Peoples' Social Institute in Montreal. I.S.O. was a Jesuit social studies and training organisation close to the movement. Its periodical "Social Survey" was a theoretical journal for the movement.
