Agent TypePersonActivities & OccupationsBankersHistoryMr Stanley Jackling was Chairman of Directors of the Mutual Permanent Building Society and its sucessor, the Statewide Building Society, in the early 1960s when they were affected by the 1960s recession. The Society went close to liquidation and was investigated by Phillip Opas Q.C. for the Victorian Government under Henry Bolte. It was saved and guided back to health under Stanley Jacking and other Directors. It later became the RESI Statewide Building Society and the Bank of Melbourne.
