The working party met twice, in June and October 1987. The University Council had received a report/position paper from the Committee of Convocation and referred it to the Committee on Research and Graduate Studies with the suggestion that it set up a working party to discuss the issues raised by the Committee of Convocation and then prepare a report back to Council.
