Events centred around the Footscray Community Arts Centre, other events included the Lesbian Conference at the University of Melbourne, the Standing Strong concert at Dallas Brookes Hall, a pool party at the Collingwood Swimming Pool, the Women's Own Warehouse Party at Festival hall and a film festival. The festival was organised by a Coordinating Collective. Subsequent Lesbian Festivals were held in 1991 and 1992.
For the 1991 Festival the collection is No. 96 of the Victorian Women's Liberation and Lesbian Feminist Archive.
For the 1992 Festival the collection is No.104 of the Victorian Women's Liberation and Lesbian Feminist Archive.
