Agent TypeOrganisationActivities & OccupationsFeministsHistoryThe first issue of 'Lesbiana' was published in March, 1992 by co-editors, Pat Longmore (qv) and Sheril Berkovitch, to replace the defunct 'Labrys' (qv). After Longmore's death in 1992, Berkovitch was sole editor until August 1995 when she handed over to Jan Campbell, who built the magazine into a successful small business. In May 2000 she sold it to Jude Dennis.

'Lesbiana' grew bigger and glossier over the years and was financially supported by lesbian business-owners who were able to advertise at reasonable rates. It ceased publication with issue 130 in March 2004.
