A small company it was soon able to capitalize on a reputation for quality work and by 1953 had relocated to a purpose built facility in Spotswood. By 1955 the company had shortened its title to Williamstown Engineering Co and was employing a diverse and highly skilled workforce. From 1955, partially in an attempt to promote hard work and dissuade 'idle gossip', the company initiated a profit sharing scheme with its employees, directing 25% of the annual profit to be shared out as a bonus dividend. This was a rarity in Victoria at the time and served to encourage workers to remain with the firm. A consistently high quality of work and service ensured a steady amount of work, with profits consistently rising year to year. The business was sold in 1962 to Thompsons Castlemaine.
