In 1975 he was re-elected and in the following year he became Secretary. During Willis's years at the University he was also active in the Liberal Club, becoming its Secretary in 1975 and President in 1976, and the delegate of the Australian union of Students from 1975 to 1977 and Secretary in 1977. Peter Willis graduated in law in 1980.
