Agent TypeOrganisationActivities & OccupationsFeminist collectivesHistoryThe Women's Liberation Centre was founded in Melbourne in March 1972 by the Women's Action Committee to provide a meeting place for feminist groups, an information and referral service, a drop-in and support centre and a place to organise feminist actions. The Centre was financed by individual donations, participant groups and by fundraisers and was staffed by rostered volunteers. Initially located at 16 Little Latrobe St until 1978, it was housed at various inner-city addresses until June 1992 when it finally disbanded.
