The Preface records that the Trainee dated back to 1903, financed and published by the students of the College. This Issue was a joint venture with the staff, and intended to record as far as possible "the College of the present side-by-side with the College of the past, for interest in the present and as a record for the future." It was planned to produce two or three successive issues in the same format. Trainee 65, edited by Sue Taylor and Victor Fitcher, appeared as "Anniversary Issue Part Two". 1964 contains photographs and notes on S.R.C. members and former staff, a catalogue of the A.J. Law Art Collection, transcript of proceedings, 75th anniversary celebrations and the official opening of Education Week and Historical Display, 17 August 1964; both include a Staff and Student Roll, articles, poems and illustrations.
