The series consists of three boxes of death claims of mixed tables and one box of claims in respect to Endowment policies. The claims in the first three boxes are numbered from 1-100 and the fourth numbered E1-E62. There is one missing claim in each of the two groups. Each packet may contain copies only of proposals, health statements, proof of age, private friends reports, notification of death, proof of death, declarations, claim forms and correspondence relating to claims and perhaps a policy document. There is no health evidence in the claims numbered E1-E2 which are children policies mostly payable at age 21. As the documents filed in theses packets are copies only it is assumed that the claims were settled by the Branch. There are some Mutual Assurance Society of Victoria policies in the series.
