IdentifierUMA-SRE-20000087Extent1 volumeScope and ContentAt a special meeting of the Executive of the Professorial Board on the 20th of May 1966, it was proposed that an Agenda Committee be established to arrange the Board's agenda. All business for the Board would flow through the Agenda Committee, and it would have the authority to refer any matter back to the originator but this power would be limited to one such referral. The Agenda Committee would have the right to comment on any matter and to originate business. The Executive approved the proposal on the condition that the name be changed to the Professorial Board Steering Committee. The first meeting of the Professorial Board Steering Committee was held on the 12th of September 1966. It ceased to exist after 1971. [In 1990, the Academic Board Policy Committee (successor to the Professorial Board Policy Committee) was renamed the Academic Board Steering Committee.
