The Executive would include the Chairman of the Schools Board, the Chief Inspector of Secondary Schools, a representative of the Catholic schools and a representative of the Association of Registered Teachers. The first meeting of the Executive Committee of the Schools Board was held in March 1942. The Schools Board was succeeded by the Victorian Universities and Schools Examinations Board in 1964.
