It appears to contain agenda paper only and not official, signed minutes. Its terms of reference were to review the college's accounting policies and any changes made or contemplated; to review the annual financial statements with both management and the external auditors prior to their approval by the Council; to determine the effectiveness of the annual audit, ensuring emphasis is placed on areas where the committee, management or the auditors believe special attention is necessary; to overview the effectiveness of the internal audit function; to co-ordinate the audit approach between the internal and external auditors and to review the effectiveness of financial information and other current management systems of internal control. Its membership comprised one member of Council (elected chairperson); the chairperson of the Finance committee and as ex-officio members, the President of the Council and the College Director. The Committee was to have unrestricted access to internal auditors and external auditors and could consult independent experts as required.
