The first meeting was held on 16th October, 1986. Membership of committee comprised of members of staff from the VCAH - Chairman- J Crow, Members - J Davis, N A Haynes, C Kimberley, A C Stafford, J Patrick and J Sharp, solicitor M. Chessell, and Executive Officer to Council, V.E. Farrow. First meeting involved the discussion of legal issues regarding current Constitution and its allowance for the college to set up a company and any restrictions that it may impose were discussed. Members of committee were requested to comment on general issues relevant to the College establishing a Company. The proposed company structure and ownership issues were also discussed as well as debate as to the structure and the number of members of the company. Further meetings addressed issues of management, finance and areas of operation and other administrative and business matters of the company, when it was established and operational.
