The papers were placed in folders and labelled within Sir David's office. The papers of all committees which Sir David attended are included in the series. The papers occasionally contained summaries of matters to be brought to the committees' attention, usually from the Secretary to the committee. Notes from various senior administrators occur in these papers - e.g. the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Registrar and Vice-Chancellor. These notes occur most frequently for those committees chaired by Sir David.
