Scope and ContentRecords and artworks documenting her early years cover her years in primary school through to university. Records include schoolbooks, essays, early writing/stories, creative works, correspondence and reviews. Amongst her papers is an early collaboration with Ray Gill ‘Genuine Kid’ and edits of her early work by her father Stephen Murray-Smith. Last edited by: mbarrie@unimelb.edu.au

ArrangementJoanna Murray-Smith arranged her records chronologically and by works and subject. Murray-Smith provided a list describing the contents in each box. For instance the volumes were boxed together and labelled 'Early Writing Archive' and 'University Days and Just After Archive' this is reflected in her box list - in addition to this she used post-it notes to describe the contents of her files.
