Weickhardt became the Deputy-Chancellor in 1966. In 1972 he was appointed Chancellor and held this position until 1978. Includes Correspondence; Minutes and papers of University Council and University Committees; Conferences; Speeches by Weickhardt on behalf of the University; Fundraising for Robert Menzies portrait; University functions, including "Town and Gown", Menzies portrait unveling, 1971, Weickhardt portrait unveiling 1976, Weickhardt retirement as Chancellor1978. Weickhardt was on the International House Council, sometimes Chair, and a member of their Long Term Finance Committee. The series contains International House records from c.1963-c.1978, including the decision to establish the LW Weickhardt Scholarship Plan and donation of a portrait of him to International House, proposed in 1981.
