Germaine Greer's notes go from pages 1 to 65, from the front to the back. A different notebook begins by flipping this one over and reading it from the back page, titled Vietnam sketch. It contains drafts, 6 pages, for a satirical sketch that opens 'I have been asked by the Minister to address you on the eve of your depature for England upon the subject of Australia's image'. One page is ripped in half. All the drafts are struck through with black pen. The Marciana notebook is named for the 1560 Biblioteca Nazionale Marciana in Venice (the National Library of St Mark's).
