Turner's period of tenure as Professor of the School. The files were maintained at the School of Botany and transferred to the University of Melbourne Archives in May, 1984 by Professor T. C. Chambers, Professor Turner's successor. The Botany School Files have not been included with the J.S. Turner Records, as the University of Melbourne Archives intend to incorporate the files with other Botany School records currently held at the Archives. The files have been listed here as they will eventually form part of a related series of records that document J.S. Turner's activities, function, roles and responsibilities within the School of Botany.
