Proposals are in Policy Number order from No.4 to No. 500 with many gaps. Inside each envelope is a Proposal, Personal Health Statement, private Friends Reports (2) and in the case of surrenders- a Policy. Although some papers indicate the policy has lapsed or been surrendered most envelopes are unmarked apart from Policy details on front. The packets are therefore incomplete. There is one envelope only in respect to the foundation members and this is No 4 in name od David Masterton, a board member. Policy No 94 was issues originally on 13 October 1869 onthe life of Rev. Dincan McEachran in names of eleven others, a memo requests reissue in names of ten others which only five names appeared on the original. A declaration on 1st policy was signed by all eleven people concerned. The name WHYTT was spelt WHYTTE on the original policy and WHYTE on the second policy, both of which were incorrect.
