This series is a collection of items and correspondence concerning a variety of subjects such as agreements between National Mutual life Association and individual members, (c.1880), applications for positions, letters of bereavement (c.1941), job descriptions (1966), staff reviews, corporate improvement staff utilisation and reports on the death of Mr E J Stock who at the time of death was General Manager of the Association. Some of these items have been Mr D A Gowen's copies. The highlight in the series is the agreements between NMLS and new staff members. Memorandum of agreement were for a four year term. The documents were hand writtenm signed by the new member (all male staff in the 1880s) and his father, the Association's accountant and approved by the Board, carried the seal of the Association.
